Winter Camp Meeting was life changing for me. Every service left me hungrier for God, and I found myself placing a greater demand on the Anointing than ever before. Coming into the meetings, I had a lot of questions for my life that I was really struggling with; leaving me feeling spiritually weighed down. Being under the Anointing from the very first night broke that stuff off me. I felt so free in the presence of God, and I felt peace in my heart over these things that had been” looming mountains”, faded away. These seemingly giant things became nothing. My heart was filled with joy, and I experienced peace. Also during the camp meeting, I was now able to enter into worship like I hadn’t been able to in a long time, because of having all this weight on me. Free in the presence of God. Throughout the week, his became more and more evident to me, as every meeting built on the previous one. Every word that was spoken, and every song that was sung, was exactly what I needed to hear, as if they were all aimed directly at me. I learned just how to be free in the Holy Ghost, how to shut my mind off and just be in His presence. I learned that everything I need, every question that I might have, every little detail of my life that I’m trying to figure out, fades away in His presence – and that He will show me the answers I’m looking for there, in His presence. Thursday night, out of all the nights, probably sticks out the most to me. Encountering God like I never had before, being completely drunk in the Holy Ghost, and also seeing my friends, my classmates, and even Pastor Rodney under the power. That night, my roommates and I, didn’t leave the church ‘til 2:30am, because we were just soaking in the anointing. I’ve said so much about the presence of God, but that’s what this Camp Meeting was to me. A time of refreshing, a time of getting hungrier for the things of God, and getting the Word in me, so that I can touched by the fire of God and be a carrier of it to all those that I encounter. My family, my friends, my coworkers, not just those I meet on the street when I’m soul winning, but in my every day life.
