A REASON FOR REJOICING
Rodney Howard Browne shares a teaching on Rejoycing
Luke 10:17-20 (NKJ)
17Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19″Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20″Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
As a children of God, washed in the blood, saved, sanctified and redeemed – we have authority over the devil and demons. Jesus Himself gave us the authority and the power. The Name of Jesus gives us His authority. Because of Jesus, the devil and his demons are powerless against us. They may try, but they will fail, as long as we walk submitted to God.
However, Jesus tells us to find our reason for rejoicing in the fact that our names are written in heaven, not in our authority over devils. Authority over devils is just a by-product of our redemption. It is something we should know about and operate in, but we should not make it our main focus.
There are many Christians who run around crowing about how they dominate the devil and yet, in their hearts, they are secretly afraid of him. Other Christians pay too much attention to the devil and give him too much credit. We should be focusing on Jesus and lifting Him up, instead. Some people arrogantly brag about their authority over the devil and yet their arrogance opens the door in their own life, for the devil to take a shot at them.
2 Corinthians 2:10-11 (NKJ)
10Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ, 11lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.
We should not be ignorant of Satan’s modus operandi and we should deal with him and take authority over him whenever it is necessary to do so, without giving him undue attention. Jesus treated him this way: “But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him.” (Mark 1:25-26 – NKJ)
Proverbs 24:17-18 (NKJ)
17Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; 18Lest the LORD see it, and it displease Him, and He turn away His wrath from him.
We should not find our reason for rejoicing in the failings or defeat of another, but we should rather rejoice in the goodness of God toward us. In the same way, we should not be congratulating ourselves over the devil’s defeat or give him any excessive attention in our thoughts, our conversation or our celebration. It is a fact that he is defeated and that we are victorious, but our rejoicing and our praise and our talk should be centered on Jesus – King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Revelation 3:5 (NKJ)
5″He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
Revelation 21:10 & 27 (NKJ)
Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 27But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
We can celebrate the goodness of God and our redemption and the fact that our names are written in the Lamb’s book of life!

I visited a nursing home. I told a woman God loves her and she cried. I told her to say the confession and I cried, it was wonderful! Next, I prayed with a man and he witnessed to me and we prayed together. This experience has changed my life. I am so happy for this. Rodney Howard Browne, thanks so much for all your ministry has done for me!

A great week of Holy Ghost and Fire meetings in the evening and signs and wonders happening on the streets and in the nursing homes in the day. We had over 681 harvesters hit the streets, businesses, frail care homes, hospitals and wherever the Holy Spirit led. The result is we have seen 14,077 decisions for Christ.
The photo’s below speak for themselves. You can see the joy and enthusiasm on the faces of all participants.

NEWSLETTER FEBRUARY 12TH, 2008
What an awesome month January 2008 has been and February is turning out to be just as blessed. The first two crusades we held in Miami, in January this year, were Spanish crusades – in Dade (Miami) and Broward Counties (Ft Lauderdale). The harvest of the first two crusades in Miami resulted in 23,000 decisions! After that, we went straight into our Winter Campmeeting 2008 Fire Conference. We were LIVE across the USA every night by satellite. We saw an awesome move of God every night. Thousands of people in Tampa and all over the world were touched by the fire of God and changed for eternity. We mobilized 516 soul-winners resulting in 10,708 decisions for Christ. This brings our total harvest this year to over 33,000 decisions! We are set to see another 22 cities shaken this year as we light fires across America. This ministry is called to light the fires and the churches are responsible for keeping that flame burning in their city. We are getting reports from the cities we have already been to and hearing great reports of souls that are still being won and churches that are growing! Praise God! We want to thank all of our friends and partners for helping us make a difference in America and for helping us to see America shaken. TOGETHER WE CAN DO IT! I believe that 2007 was the start, 2008 will be an explosion, and by 2009 we will be right in the middle of the greatest move of God the world has ever seen! We would like to ask you to prayerfully consider the following things:
The three cities coming up next – all in Florida – are Cocoa, Gainesville, and Sanford (N. Orlando). We love you and thank you for your love and support – we are going to see America shaken by the power of God! We will all rejoice together at the Judgment Seat of Christ, as we share in the eternal rewards of the harvest! May God’s richest blessings be yours! Yours for revival and the harvest,

A young lady from India didn’t want to answer the question if she would go to heaven or not because she was diagnosed with brain cancer today. But she listened to the script and received Jesus as her Savior and knows she will go to the Heaven what ever happens.

Good News
Testimony:
Christ Jesus of Nazareth has never left Nazareth, HIS grace and power is still here and working wonders beyond anything a mortal man can understand. This morning I was invited to visit an Arabian lady ninety years old. Her daughter Badjia had invited me for a meal at her house a week prior to visiting her mother. Her daughter said we were eight in the family; my father died when I was 3 and my mother held the family together, we lived near the market here in Nazareth. But my mother has never given her life into the hands of Christ Jesus, she knows all about him, will you come with us to my mothers’ home and invite her to receive Christ as her savior? And the greatest miracle is salvation; the lady of 90 years gave her life to Christ this day and also a lady visiting her said yes to Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus has blessed this family, the 90 year old lady told me my mother read out of the bible to me and I listened. She went on to say my mother told me never to take advantage of others for any reason and I never have. I have great joy in giving and not asking for something, it is not my way. How can I say Christ Jesus is here in Nazareth, she the 90 year old lady has a family first second third generation all with Christ Jesus. The daughter Badjia has three daughters all married to men with Christ Jesus as Lord of their life. And very interesting the three daughters all have grandchildren with the Lord they live here with their families in
Nazareth one daughter is married to a American, one to a Egyptian, one to a Jew. From generation to generation HIS great grace has flown in this godly family, praise him from whom all blessings flow. AmenJerome J.
