Mountain Moving prayer Part TWO – A life of prayer and fasting

“From the Heart” teaching by Drs. Rodney & Adonica Howard-Browne.

Foundation Scriptures:

And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink? 34 And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? 35 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.

Luke 5:33-35 KJV

While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee. 20 Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them. 21 Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come? 22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee. 23 Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him. 24 And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends. 25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him. 26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man. 27 And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together. 28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. 29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me? 30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing, 31 And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God. 32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee. 33 Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.

Acts 10:19-33 KJV

1. Jesus Said “When” You Fast, Not “If”

a. Fasting does not move God, it moves you.

b. It subdues the flesh.

c. It breaks strongholds and delivers from bondage.

d. Set yourself aside for prayer, fasting, and reading the Word.

2. Supernatural Things Happen When You Fast and Pray

a. Acts 10:1-8 and Acts 10:9-23

b. Acts 10:24-33

c. Acts 10:30

Cornelius was fasting and supernatural things started happening.

3. Relationship, Not Ritual

a. It is imperative that you do not do this out of a ritual, but out of a relationship with Jesus.

b. Do it to press into Him.

c. James 4:8: “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”

d. Be hungry for Him.

e. Do not look for manifestations, visitations, or angels, etc. The devil can also manifest as an angel of light to deceive.

f. Lay your heart out before Him; allow Him to do a work on the inside of you.

g. The work He does in you will be an eternal work and it can never be taken away from you.

4. The Supernatural Will Be Natural in Your Life When You Live a Life Set Apart

a. Not in bed with the world.

b. Not dirty and soiled.

c. With clean hands and a pure heart.

5. Living a Fasted Life

a. Be led by the Holy Spirit.

b. Cornelius fasted 4 days. You can fast one, three, seven, twenty one, or forty days.

c. Let God lead you.

d. Skip a meal.

e. Press in – praying, studying, fellowshipping with the Lord.

f. Lay aside hobbies, television, games – anything that distracts you, and consumes your time.

6. We are Going to Press in this Wednesday – as a Church – and Fast and Pray

a. We did three days last week.

b. Let’s do one day this week.

c. I believe that great breakthroughs are taking place:

i. In people’s hearts.

ii. In people’s bodies.

iii. In people’s families.

iv. In people’s marriages.

Testimony by I. Ross

I have the Holy Spirit, and in Him is everything that will ever be needed. When I need guidance He guides me. When I need a scripture He brings it to my remembrance. When I need directions or insight on a certain situation He gives it to me. I will strive day by day to operate from my spirit. It is now the only way to go for me!!!

Testimony by D. Plumey

The internship is such a great opportunity to really be instructed by God and learn how to trust Him fully no matter what the situation is. I know that as I continue with my internship the Lord, He will continue to show me the power of His word and how to walk in faith. I’m excited about how I will grow in the Lord through this experience.

What Is Celebrate America?

Drs. Rodney and Adonica Howard-Browne, with Revival Ministries International, are looking forward to Celebrate America just as they did in the summer of 1999 when, for six weeks consecutively, they rented Madison Square Garden, the world’s most famous arena, for Good News New York!

Drs. Rodney and Adonica Howard-Browne are inviting local churches, the community, and members of government, in which many of them will be sharing their faith, and all nationalities to be a part of Celebrate America. We are celebrating America as she turns 239 years old. During Celebrate America, we will commemorate the Declaration of Independence and what the Constitution of the United States has meant to this land. We will celebrate the heritage of America and our Founding Fathers who acknowledged “firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence.” We will remember The Great Spiritual Awakenings of this land, the impact of which they made, and The Great Awakening that is soon to come. Celebrate America.

Dear Friends,

Drs. Rodney and Adonica Howard-Browne invite you to join them for Celebrate America this July in Washington D.C. at the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Constitution Hall. Just as we looked forward to Good News New York in the summer of 1999 at Madison Square Garden, we are looking forward to this event.

Local churches, the community, members of government (many of whom will be sharing their faith), all Americans, and anyone, from any nation, who loves America, are invited to be a part of Celebrate America. We are celebrating America as she turns 238 years old. During these 14 days of Celebrate America, we will commemorate the United States Declaration of Independence and what the Constitution of the United States has meant to this land. We will celebrate the heritage of America and our Founding Fathers who acknowledged “firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence.” We will remember the Great Spiritual Awakenings of this land, the impact they made, and The Great Awakening that is soon to come.

Pastors, leaders, church groups, youth groups, and all believers, all around America, we ask you to begin praying for America, her leaders, and for Celebrate America. And we also encourage you to make plans to join us and to be a part of this very timely event.

The evening meetings are at 7 PM; admission is free. In the mornings, Power Evangelism will take place at 10 AM. Call, email, Facebook, and Tweet your friends and family to attend and to get involved; volunteers are needed. Sign up today.

Chris Testimony

There was a time not long ago, when I didn’t understand why things didn’t seem to be working out the way that I wanted them to. I was trying to open doors to new opportunities, yet I was being turned down like I never was before.  This eventually led to feeling discouraged and my self-confidence was shaken.

I began to turn to God in prayer and reading through the Bible for both consolation and inspiration.  After about a month of focusing on giving Him priority in my life and diligently seeking Him, I was led to the following scripture;

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” – Isaiah 43:18-19.

Suddenly, it was as if a light was turned on in my head!  God was revealing to me that He was changing the direction of my life! He told me that it was now time to use my talents and abilities for Him in the ministry.  I accepted, believed and surrendered myself to Him, even though I had no idea where he was going to take me. When I surrendered, I now had peace like I had never experienced before!

God may not reveal to us the extent of the wilderness walk that we must travel with Him, but He does make a way for us.  His light is a lamp unto our feet. In my case, my wilderness walk meant traveling thousands of miles and many nations.  His streams of “living water” have always been there, no matter where He takes me.

Today, the Lord has brought me to Tampa to go to Bible school with my new wife.  We are both going out on the streets and bringing the Good News of the Gospel to Tampa and beyond. We have already been God’s vessels that have brought many souls to Christ, yet the work here is only beginning…

Our prayer is that you will let God do a new thing in you!

It seems that every week I hear another message about giving and sowing and reaping, but now I know for myself that this is a Bible principle that works.  What we sow, we will reap, whether it is finances or material possessions.  God will even give you the seed to sow that you may reap.  Until about two months ago, I had never owned a tie.  I had previously asked God for six ties.  Within a month, six ties were given to me, including two of my favorites given to me as a Christmas present from my mom.  A couple weeks ago, God put it on my heart to give one of my ties to a particular person.  It was God that gave me the six ties to begin with, so I acted quickly in obedience.  I kept my ties in my car until I saw that person again, and gave him the option to pick whichever of my ties he wanted.

He picked my favorite one, but I blessed him with it anyway.  That same day, someone gave me another tie, bringing my number of ties back to six.  I believe God wanted to bless me beyond what I had asked, and gave me an opportunity to sow, that I may reap even more.  Earlier this week I was blessed with 19 more ties.  Now I have more ties than I know what to do with.  After looking back at this experience, I have decided that no matter what God asks me to give, I will give, because whatever I sow, I shall reap.  This experience has changed my perspective and attitude for when God asks me to give, especially in the area of finances.  I will trust God to be faithful in this Biblical principle.

I asked if that is where she needed healing and she said yes. So as I was praying and agreeing with her for complete healing, I felt heat rise up through my hand and arm and felt something happening as I have never in my life felt before.   John 16:23-24  That large lump began to shrink smaller and smaller and smaller right under my hand.  I continued to pray and thanked God for her complete healing until it totally shrunk and my hand went flat against her spine where there was no longer a lump or anything there. I asked her to do something she couldn’t do before and she began to turn her head up and down and bend all different ways.  We were praising God and I invited her and her husband to the River Church as she said she would come.  I never realized before how God can use his people to heal others.

Rodney Howard Browne – Regis A. Testimony

I must first say “What an amazing two weeks!”  I listened and watched online the first week then attended live in person at The River the following Wed. morning. His power and presence was there to touch every open heart.  We ordered a complete set of cd’s as a reference for building a strong foundation for the walk of faith to run the race. For me, I was in a marinade letting the oil breakdown and soften a hardened heart of hurt, and pain I thought was gone, but was really hiding.

On my way to church I dropped off my car at the collision center to replace the front plastic bumper and grill damaged from some road hazard, I thought maybe $500.00 would cover it until they popped the hood and took a look inside. WOW the hidden damage inside the engine compartment was very extensive, brackets, condenser, radiator, arm support yada yada yada. The repair jumped from $500.00 to over $2300.00 and that’s three to four times more to fix what we couldn’t see just looking from the outside. The adjuster asked how long I’ve been driving the car like this, I said “Just over 1 year now.”   He was amazed that everything appeared to be working in the condition it was in.

As the van drove me to church I thought “That was me!” showing a little damage on the outside and a wreck on the inside. “Jesus fix me” I’m hurting, I’m still functioning, but could be sidelined if this isn’t addressed properly. Get in the service Wed. morning, Wed. night, Thurs. morning, Thurs. night, Fri morning, and Fri. night.  MARINATING. I’m feeling the tug for bible school. So with a Pastoral recommendation I’m back in Bible school…..again . Going to let Jesus work on me …..again. The driver of the van got saved,…. and as for my car….it’s still in the shop……
